Poor Wendy Alexander, as big Jackie Baillie is fond of informing us, this is a very difficult time for Wendy. Not only are all sorts of beastly folk calling for her resignation, not only is she apparently haunted by thoughts of John Swinney whilst reading her children bed time stories, now Terry is denying he's her election agent!
Which is odd because back in August he said;
'Yesterday at the Wynd Centre in Paisley Wendy announced she would stand and along with others, some of them big hitters, I was, as her agent delighted to share the moment with her and other comrades, along with the gaggle of press people who, probably for the last time felt obliged to be nice to her.'
Before going on to praise her in the following terms;
'It's time for a change and Wendy will provide that, she brings a commitment second to none as well as a fierce intellect and the stamina of a long distance athlete, I think she will be a force to reckon with and a great asset to Labour and to Scotland when she becomes first minister.'
It would be fair to conclude that back in August he thought very highly of Wendy, if one of course overlooks the fact he couldn't be bothered voting for her. What could have changed I wonder?
Let's remember Terry has stood by Richard Manser who's crimes are worse than anything Wendy Alexander has been accused of. Let's also remember he was still full of praise for Manser even after the Labour Party had shown him the door. Yet he has barely bothered to comment on, let alone defend someone he has worked closely with in the past who's now in trouble.
Wendy, hen if you're reading I think you should take the revelation that even a clown like Kelly is pretending not to know you as your cue to resign. This is truly a new low.
